Quickbooks for Mac

Postby potte » Wed Feb 07, 2007 11:32 pm

Is it possible to import the Shopsite orders and inventory into Quickbooks for Mac? If so, what versions are supported?

Thanks,

Peter

Pity. Although I understand that the 2007 version of Quickbooks Accountant can open and save the file as a Quickbooks QBB mac file, which can then be opened in Quickbooks Mac 2007. The Mac and Windows 2007 editions are better synchronized. Do you know of anyone who has tried this approach?

.iff, should work with Mac

Shopsite produces an .iif file (a text) which according to Intuit's site Mac Quickbooks can import. You can't automate the process. If the shopsite .iff format doesn't work, then using Perl, PHP, ASP or another programming language you could access the XML API, grab the data and have it wrote your own .iff. Don't have QuickBooks for Mac, haven't done Shopsite to Quickbooks, but I really see no reason why you can't import shopsite data into Quickbooks for Mac, since the .iff is a text file and a standard format for Quickbooks.
