Where do I input quantity discounts?

Post by czei »

Can anyone point out where to input how quantity effects price? I've ready the Product Quantity Pricing section of the manual, but there's no such field anywhere when I edit my product.

I realize there's a simple and an advanced product info editor, and this *is* the advanced one.

Thanks,

What version of ShopSite do you have? The product Quantity Pricing feature is in ShopSite Pro, v6.3 and newer. The settings for it would be located on a product's Edit Product Info menu, in my store it's right above the 'Taxable' checkbox.

Nope, not there.

Thanks, I have version 8.1. There's nothing like that when I edit the product info, which is why I'm posting for help!

All I have is:

Product Name:
Price: $
On Sale Price:
Taxable:
SKU:

Image:
Directory Image

Product Description: This is just a test.
QuickBooks® Item Type:

I'm guessing there's some setting somewhere that turns this off and on, but the manual doesn't mention it...

Quantity pricing is a Pro level feature. Is your store a Pro level store? You can tell by clicking on the green ShopSite tab and then looking at the text in the footer between the 2 ShopSite logos. It should say Pro, Manager or Starter.

It might also be that you are in the Basic editing mode. When you click on the Products image on the navbar (second from left) Does the bottom most button on the page say Basic Editing or Advanced? If it says Advance then you are in Basic editing mode and clicking on the button will switch to Advanced mode where many more product (and page) fields will be available.

That's it then. This isn't the "pro" version...

Is this marked in the manual and I just missed it?
