Discount calculation question

Is there a way to subtract [--PRODUCT.saleamount--] from [--PRODUCT.Price--] in a template to show the amount of savings?

Not completely from within the template, because there is no addition/subtraction/etc in the template language. However, via a CALL tag you could pass these values to an external Perl script that could calculate the 'you save' amount and pass it back into the template.
