background color, translation of text, image in layout..

I cannot seem to make the background colors etc change.. I have tried, but it does not show, same colors as always.

I have translated my site to norwegian, but the view cart, sign in, register and search text shows in english, but I have written this in norwegian, any ideas why it will not show that way?

I also would like to have an image placed somewhere in the main layout, where/how do I do that?

Lots of questions from a noob here, thinking that shopsite is great, tho. :]

I see more questions coming...

Seems I managed that, but how to do this for all pages in ONE change? So that I can change for all total pages at once.. :O

In the Pages menu, choose the pages from the list of pages that you want to make the same changes to, then click the PowerEdit button, from the PowerEdit screen select the fields you want to edit for those pages, then select the 'global' radio button and Proceed. Then you will see one setting for each field you selected, and when you set it and save it, that change will be made for every page you initially selected from the list of pages.

PowerEdit is also available in the Products menu.

In addition to what Loren_d_c said

Shopping cart/ Registratioin background color is set under Commerce Setup > Order System > Layout info,

Search is set under Preference > Search Settings > Search Layout

Gift Certificate is set under Merchandising > Gift Certificate > Configure

The tab theme has some colors defined in include files (Tabs-Colors and Tabs.css) so other colors for the pages may need to be changed in the include and/or css files instead of the normal backoffice screens mentioned above. To edit these files you will need to make a copy of them using the Copy ShopSite template (using some other name), then make the changes and then copy the file to the original file name in your local template area. Then that file will override the ShopSite include file.
