Affiliate Network Tracking Pixel

Hello,

My company is using an affiliate network and we need to place a tracking pixel on our website to track our affiliate sales. The problem we have is that since we use shopsite we don't have a separate URL from our checkout page to our thank you page. Does anyone know how we will be able to successfully test this pixel using shopsite?

We put tracking scripts for our Affiliate program and various ppc programs on the Thank You page in the "Text at the bottom
of the Thank You screen:" and that works fine for us.

Unfortunately we tried that at the beginning of this issue and it doesn't work. We're trying to use Azoogle's MPORT affiliate network and they have a system to test the pixel before they make your account live and so far we have been unable to successfully test it. We've contacted reps at MPORT and Shopsite and no one has had an answer on how to do it.

This doesn't make sense. Why would it matter what the URLs of the pages are? The code you put in the Commerce Setup -> Order System -> Thank You fields like 'Text at the top of the Thank You screen' and 'Text at the bottom of the Thank You screen' will only be put on the thank you receipt screen when a successful order has been completed, NOT on any other screen even if that other screen were created by the same cgi (i.e. had the same URL as the thank you receipt screen, such as an error message screen or the confirmation screen). So the URL should not be an issue.

What ShopSite number version and product level do you have?

The page is CGI but it still doesn't work. We are using ShopSite® Pro 8.1.2.

When we put it on the thank you page in Shopsite and try to run it through our affiliate network's pixel test, it always comes back test failed.

Are you actually replacing the 'XX' with real values? And how are you testing? The only way to test the thankyou screen is to place an order.

yes of course. and we did place an order. however it doesn't matter anymore, the network just recently contacted us and they are shutting down the mport affiliate network, so looks like we don't have to fuss with it anymore.
