Shipping Charges

We have products where we include ground shipping in the cost of the
product. We would like to be able to offer our customers expedited options
like 3-day, 2-day and 1-day shipping.

Here is the problem. Most of our products do not include shipping. For
these, we have a weight for the product and then let UPS figure out the
different shipping options for them to choose from. For the products that
include shipping in the price, we simply check the box that says "DO NOT
apply shipping charges to this product", and therefore no shipping options
show up.

Is there a way for only the 3-day, 2-day and 1-day shipping options show up
but not ground, for these products only?

If you check the box "Do Not apply shipping charges to this product" no
shipping checks will be made for it at all. You might be able to
create a custom shipping api that will deal with just certain products
and return your desired options but it would require that you don't
check the Do Not apply box. The custom shipping Api is a pro only
feature and you would either need to program it your self or hire
someone to do it.

Does anyone out there know how to program this api, or have a reference for
someone who has done work like this before?
