Out Of Stock message

I haev a client using Shop Site Pro 7.1. Every item in the store uses the
Shop Anywhere function. Several of her items are currently out of stock and
if ordered by a customer, may take several weeks, rather than a few days for
the order to be shipped.

Other than just adding some text to the page near the product, is there a
way to display a message to this affect when one of these out of stock items
are ordered?
