add-to-cart questions

A couple of questions:

1. Is it possible to add something to cart and have it stay on the product page
(not go to the cart page)? So if you're running a mini-cart, you'd see it
reflected there, and you wouldn't have to go to the cart, and then click on
Continue Shopping. It would be nice to configure it optionally to stay on
the product page.

This wouldn't be a big deal, except that:

2. When it does go to the cart after adding a product, the return link
can be the page you came from, but not a reference to the location of the
product you came from.

The reason I bring up both of these is that it's a problem if you add an
item to your cart from the middle of a long page of products. When you
Continue Shopping, you're sent back to the page that has the product, but
only to the top of the page, not to the item's location.

The information is there -- each product section has an: <a name=product#
marker.

Does anyone know whether #1 is possible and/or if it's possible to have
the return-link go to the product itself and not just the top of the page?

So I found this text in the Shopsite documentation:

You can change whether the cart is displayed or not in ShopSite Pro and ShopSite
Manager stores. On the Commerce Setup > Order System > Shopping Cart screen you
can set whether the cart is displayed when a customer clicks an [Add to Cart]
button. To not display the cart until the customer clicks a [View Cart] button,
do not check the box labeled Default for the "Show me my shopping cart" checkbox
and check the box labeled Do not display the the "Show me my shopping cart" check box

and I unchecked the first box, and checked the second box. I'm still taken to the
shopping cart page when I add an item to the cart.

Is there something else to getting this to work?

Oh, and don't forget to empty you cart after you make these changes, as
the previous settings are saved in your shopping cart if you already
have one. Emptying your cart and then adding a new item to the cart
creates a new cart file for you.
