Hello,
happy easter egg hunting to all.
Looking at the current (v 7.2.x) possibilties within shopsite, I would like
to see the customer management possibilities to be more helpful in the daily
work.
We can define user groups and assign coupons to customers. So far so good.
What I would need:
=> Payment options displayed depending on the user group.
If a customer orders without registering, he can only pay by 1. credit card
or 2. c.o.d., if a customer registers, he/she is automatically assigned to
the default customer group "new customer" and can pay by 1. credit card, 2.
c.o.d. or 3. paypal. If a customer is (manually) verified by us, we assign
him/her to a group "trusted customers" and he/she can pay additionally by
bank draft or by invoice.
The other thing that would help big time is more control over the "use
shipping address" fields.
-> I would like to be able to allow a shipping address when the order is
paid be c.o.d. and payment by bank transfer up front (manual payment option
1 f. ex.). But I would like to allow only one invoice/shipping address when
payment by credit card is selected. The "allow delivery address" should be
set indepently for each payment option.
We are currently scanning all incoming orders according to our internal
check-list AFTER the order is placed and decide then if we acceppt the order
as it comes or if we ask the customer for payment up front. We have defined
all conditions for the different payment methods in the checkout screen, but
still, a lot of customers DO NOT READ. It would help all of us along, if the
shopping cart could reflect our payment policies better.
Since we have implemented our payment policies 3 years ago, we are down in
fraud orders 99%. Our losses went from 800 EUR in 2001 to 0 in 2002, 15.95
in 2003 and 32.95 in 2004, while our order volume increased by 30-40% per
year. So our policies work, but we cannot reflect these policies 100% with
Shopsite at the moment.
Thanks for your attention,
Niko
