responding to reviews

We have now been using the ShopSite reviews module for about 2 months now. We set it up so someone needs to go in and approve the reviews before it shows on the site. The question I have is there a way for us as the store owner to respond to the review and have it show publicly on the reviews area? We had a situation where someone ordered the product 50 items of the same product and about half the order was on back order, the customer was made aware of the back-order through a series of emails, we decided to send what we had at the time to the customer and when the rest of the items came in we would send a second shipment to the customer when the product becomes available. However the customer and left us a less then favorable review and we want the opportunity to respond in a publicly so other potential customers do not get the wrong impression.

Currently your only option is to either not post the review or to delete it.

is there anything in the works to change that in the distant future?

is it possible for the original writer of the review to revise the review?

No, not at this time.

Nothing planned in the near term. I've reviewed the enhancement section of the forum and see that about 3 others are interested in a feature where they could reply to a review.

We also need the ability to respond to reviews. Currently since we cannot comment, we lean toward not posting reviews that have errors in them because it is too confusing to our customers. Adding a merchant response feature would be a great benefit to the store owners and allow us to provide a great service to our customers. Thanks.
