Color issue with Responsive Theme

I am using a sandbox test site to accomplish a redesign. I am using the Responsive theme and have changed the text color in the layout & settings, product, and page to #000066 clicked Apply, and refreshed but the text color always remains black. I cannot understand what the problem is and why the text color will not change. Any ideas? I am going out of my mind trying to source the problem. THANK YOU!

The response theme only uses global color settings, not page and product specific settings, so make sure you are making the color changes under Preferences > Layout Settings.

If you are making the changes there and still not seeing the color changes, can you give me the URL to the website you are editing, and let me know which color field you are changing and what color on the website you hoped to change?

You didn't mention republishing your pages. Did you do that ? Utilities > Publish > Regenerate.

Have you checked what color fields are use for the various settings in the theme you are using? See http://www.shopsite.com/templates/cookbook/builtintemplates.shtml click the image for the theme you are using and it will display a page listing what all the color fields are used for.

This is really old but, here goes. I left a post wondering if the color of the boxes (not just the text) could be changed in themes.
