UPS Registration Error

Hi,
I am trying to configure UPS as a shipping option, I go into Commerce Setup - > Shipping and select UPS Configure, answer all the questions, get to the UPS Registration page where it asks for a User ID and PW, I enter new ID and PW and it returns with and error "Request can not be processed, please contact UPS customer service at 1-888-851-4901. (Error code: 9570008)".

Any help would be appreciated.

What version of ShopSite do you have?

But more likely it is that UPS has flagged your account (or your computer's IP address) with some kind of possible fraud flag, you should do as the UPS message suggests and call them to ask them to clear your account.

Hello,

I'm getting the same error and been trying to get resolution for a couple weeks. UPS called back ONCE. Repeated call backs to the person who left message always got VM. Tried their "Live Chat" help. They could not solve. They directed me to Tech Support. Tried registering at myups.com and requesting API access key. Got some message account could not be created with the info provided. Never had this much trouble getting shipping to work with SS. Quite frustrated with SS and UPS at this time.

Success finally! A UPS rep came to my clients location to create a UPS account. We were unable to create an account online realtime at UPS or via SS. Trying to do so "flags" UPS as fraud as there is no activity on the account. You need to contact UPS to create an UPS account and once ACTIVE you can enter the account number into SS shipping cfg and then SS worked to create an API access key realtime. Seems to be in the past this was one done realtime via SS but at some point that changed.

No, ShopSite has never been able to create an actual UPS shipping account, only the Web Tools real-time rates account required to access the UPS rate API. But when you're trying to associate that with a UPS shipping account (which you need to do in order to get contract rates, if you have any) that has been flagged for some reason, I guess that's where it gets sticky. Glad you were able to find someone at UPS that could resolve the problem with the account.
