Need Help

I am new to this so your help is appreciated.

1) I started to build a store with a wizard. I then changed the theme. Now, for some reason there is 2 home pages where if you click on home takes to one theme and if you click on another home (top right) it takes you to the older theme.

Now I want to start over, delete the store entirely and start over, how can I accomplish that?

2) How can you do changes to the standard template, such as color or make it smaller to make sure it is not taking up the entire screen?

3) how can you create a drop down menu (navigation)?

One more question. How can I preview the Site before publishing it?

When I publish, it take a long time for it to be updated. I would like to know if there is a preview it quicker?

If you want to start over, I would suggest going to Pages > highlight all pages > Delete Pages. Then if you want to restart the wizard you can go to Utilities > Wizard. Otherwise, if you don't want to restart the wizard, go to Pages > Add A Page, and in the "File Name" field, make sure you put "index.html" for your home page.

Colors - you can change most of the colors for the theme, as well as the page width, etc, under Preferences > Layout Settings. In the color select section, specify the colors you want, then just below that section is a list of checkboxes on where you would like to update those colors, check ALL of the boxes (you can ignore the mobile one if you are using mobile, but if you are just starting out I would check all), then click "Apply" to push those colors to all sections of your store.

Navigation - you can create your navigation menus (top, let, right, footer), under Preferences > Navigation. Below is a video tutorial that shows how to setup the navigation. Before creating your navigation, I would setup all your pages (categories) in the Pages section.

Preview - if you have published once before (ie, the CSS files for your theme have been created), then you can go to Pages > Preview. That is the only default preview place. Note, if you click on any links within the preview, you will be taken to a live page, since all the links are the actual page links.

Publish Speed - this depends on the host/server you are on and the number of pages/products you have. If you don't have many the publish shouldn't take a long time. If it is taking a while even with just a few pages/products, I would suggest talking with your host to see if there is any way they can have the server run faster for your website.
