Order Numbers Not Generating

Hello All,
Thank You for taking time in advance to assist me.

Currently, we use "ShopSite Starter 11 sp1 r2.1" and we have noticed that our ShopSite Shopping Cart System is NOT generating Orders within its database at all.
Basically, we have some products and our end-users primarily pay using Paypal; and page navigation is transitioning to Paypal correctly and user is then able to pay/submit the "Paypal Transaction" correctly. But however, the ShopSite database or the "Orders=>List All" tab does NOT have any record of the order that was being placed.
After researching further on this newsgroup; I tried to update the "ordernum" file under "/shopsiteHome/data" but it was of no avail.

If someone can assist us in shedding light as to what must be happening or any resolution for it - we would greatly appreciate it.

PayPal made changes to their interface back in Sept 2012 that changed the parameters that must be sent with orders. Since they made that change the IPN that ShopSite relies on to know that the order has completed is not being sent.

Since you are using an older version of ShopSite than what the fix was implemented in you will need to upgrade to the version that contains the fix, ShopSite 11sp2r4 or later. If you are strictly using PayPal Standard you might be able to fix the problem by editing the token mentioned in the kbase article. To edit the file will require that you have access to the file on the server your store is installed on. If you do not have access to that directory your host may need to make the change for you.

Thanks for the reply.

I was wondering how can I upgrade to the latest stable version of Starter Shopsite. Our hosting provider (bluehost.com) provides a interface called SimpleScripts which enables to painlessly upgrade the shopSite version automatically until now. It seems now that "SimpleScripts" has been enhanced and rebranded as MojoMarketPlace - but unfortunately, we are now NOT seeing any option to upgrade the ShopSite version now.

So we were wondering, how can we do this? Thanks in advance.

I heard that they made changes to Simple Scripts over the weekend and there were some unresolved problems this morning. I think they got them fixed so you might want to give it another try and see if it will work now. If not you should contact Bluehost, where your store is hosted, and ask them for assistance.
