/basket.new file missing

We have discovered the file 'basket.new' is missing from our SHOPSITE 'sc' folder. Where can I get a copy to replace this?

Do you have a backup of the store? That would be the best place to get it.
It would be possible to copy it from another ShopSite store (of the same version, i.e from a ShopSite 11 install if the store is ShopSite 11, ShopSite 10 for 10 etc.)

Why is it missing? Did someone actually delete the file or did you just start getting messages that it was missing?

The reason I ask is that each time an order is started a new copy of that file is created. So if errors saying it is missing start occurring your store is probably so low on disk space (quota) that the small file could not be created because there is no room for it. Low disk space can cause lots of issues since files can be truncated and setting for your store can be lost.

Another possible cause of getting errors that it is missing is that someone has changed the permissions on the file so the webserver can no longer access it.

We implemented a new backup procedure and a new person attempted to back up the entire site. He ran into a problem copying the basket.new file so he renamed and moved it and now we can not find it . . . We are on SHOPSITE Pro vrsn 10. Unfortunately we do not know of anyone else using this same ecommerce site to request a copy from.

Where is your store hosted? If it is with a ShopSite partner they should be able to get a copy of the file for you. We received a support request last night from a partner saying that a merchant had contacted them with this same issue. I responded to that email this morning so if you contacted your host they may be working on it now. If not send me a PM or email with your email address and I'll try to find one from a version 10 store and email it to you.
