Gateway Emulator

Postby absolutevapors » Thu Nov 15, 2012 5:06 pm

Your website shows that NMI is integrated with shopsite using the gateway emulator, but it is not working for me. Is there a specific port or the instructions on the web correct for the post, port, and authorize script? I had NMI check and it is not receiving anything from Shopsite so that makes me think it is not transferring out.

You will need to get the appropriate parameters such as port, url, authorized script, API login, Transaction key, etc, for your gateway, NMI, from them. Also make sure hou have Timeout * Display CVV2 Entry Box , Require CVV2 Entry configured. You should check the Display Error Details box while testing so that any errors encountered will be noted on the checkout screen.
Make sure that where your store is hosted has not blocked access to the port which you need to communicate with NMI. They could have the port blocked or have firewall setting such that you can't get to it.

There is a test application, diagnose.cgi, that you can access at the same base url as other backoffice cgis, like start.cgi, Just replace the start.cgi with diagnose.cgi when logged in you will be taken to the diagnostic screen. There is a section "Check Connection" near the bottom of the screen where you can enter the host name and port number and then test that a connection can be made.

I know there has been code posted to check shipping options and a country and only allow certain methods. You might do a search on the forum for javascript and shipping and see if you can find something helpful.
Thanks
