Adding a column to price option table

Postby langleymetalworks » Sun Oct 21, 2012 1:14 pm

I need to add column to the ordering option table on a product. I need it to calculate a percentage discount base on the price modifier. I also need a column that will modify the price based on the sale price not the regular retail price. Is there a way to do this? I am using shop site pro.

Thanks,

I don't understand exactly what you are asking for. Are you talking about the Advanced Order Optons or the older style Order Options?

In the older style order options you could modify the price using the format
Option name;price modifier
so you would have something like
Large;+2 which would add 2 (of your currency, ie. $, Euro, Yen) to the product's price.
You could also use other modifies such as *.95 which would multiple the price times .95 giving the product a price of 95% of the original price. To add 50% you would multipy by 1.5 so it would be Large;*1.5. You can find the help for this type of options at
http://www.shopsite.com/help/11.2/en-US/sc/pro/ordering.options.html

For Advanced ordering options you can specify up to 4 types of options and then specify a price, weight, sku, image for each of the option combinations. Again the price can use some of the same modifiers as the regular order options, but it has to be specified for each option combination since it is not possible to automatically convert the prices when the advanced options are created from the older style options.

The option prices in the shopping cart are always based off of current price, so if the Sale price feature is enabled then the option price modifiers will change the sale price.
