Page image buttons reset when adding products

Hi All,

I have editted my shopsite pages and added images with page links attached because for 1, they look better, and 2, when i used shopsite to add page links they would go down the page behind my index page image and not across under the banner. Now everytime I add a new product, then publish, the images dissappear and the old links come back. The only work around is if I re-add the image buttons code and delete page from store directory and upload new, which then adds funny characters infront of the product price, which again I have to copy the page source and edit the page in the store directory to stop this issue. Seems like the original pages are hidden and reload once i publish. Is there anyway to stop this???

Also with regards to products, is there an option to remove a product once it has been ordered, as all my products are one offs, except a few that I want to be-able to offer customers to enter the quantity wanted upto a set amount I set??

If you are editing a page that ShopSite has generated then yes it will be over written the next time you publish the page. You should either just edit your pages through the ShopSite interface and allow ShopSite to create the pages or create the pages manually and use the OrderAnywhere feature to put the add to cart links on your pages.

You don't say what version of ShopSite you have so I can't be specific, but you can change the default add to cart and view cart buttons in a couple of ways. 1. Preferences > Store Text > Store Pages has the default Add and View cart buttons used when creating a new product. 2 if you have a more recent version of ShopSite there is a Preferences > Product Defaults that you can configure to added other default settings to your products. 3. If you change the theme that you are using on Preferences > Themes then the default Add and View cart buttons will be what ever is assigned to that theme. 4. If you have a Pro version of ShopSite the Add and View cart buttons can be set on an individual product basis under Products > Select the Product > Edit Product Layout.

The Pro version of ShopSite has an inventory tracking feature which if enabled will prevent out of stock items from being ordered. For Manager and Starter the only way to have the product not be ordered is to delete it from the backoffice and then publish the store.

What version of ShopSite are you running and are you willing to provide a link to your ShopSite store pages?

There might be a way to fix your link issue (so that they line up horizontally) within ShopSite so that it is not overwritten when you publish your changes.

Hi All,

Im on shopsite 11.0 and running starter. My web site is www.oneoffwonders.co.uk, I havent put the full site up but have copied the index page onto the home page without the buttons on. I can give you my code or how can I give you access to my shopsite store directory??

Thank you for posting a link to your website. In looking over the ShopSite pages, I see that there are two options available to you at this time for the navigation links. Please note: because you are using the ShopSite Starter package, you currently cannot assign graphics to the page links if you use the ones generate by ShopSite.

1) You can use the built-in page links for ShopSite and simply insert the following code into your header field so they display horizontally instead of vertically:

or

2) You can place your custom navigation (graphics included) directly into the ShopSite header field so it is generated on each ShopSite product page and make sure to go back to Assign Items in ShopSite and remove the pages from being linked to each other within ShopSite.
