Setting Up Shipping Rates

Postby kimical » Thu Jul 12, 2012 10:19 am

I need to change our shipper from UPS to Fedex but I cannot:
1. figure out where to change the shipping rates
2. figure out how to disable UPS from coming up as an option

If you are using the real-time shipping integrations, then to change which company ShopSite is displaying the rates for, go to Commerce Setup > Shipping. There you can configure FedEx, then check the box to use it and deselect UPS.

How do I set up the system to automatically calculate shipping rates? The past person who was working on this site set up UPS and the system seems to automatically calculate the rates. How do I do that for Fed ex?

Here is a link to the online help for FedEx
http://www.shopsite.com/help/11.0/en-US/sc/pro/fedex.shipping.html

You go to Commerce Setup > Order System > Shipping then click on the Configure button by Federal Express. If it hasn't been configured before you will be taken to screens where you can setup your FedEx account in ShopSite.

Go to Commerce Setup > Shipping, and click the configure button by FedEx.

In order to use online FedEx® services, you will need to obtain an account from FedEx.com. After you have your account, proceed with the following steps to configure the account in ShopSite.
Step 1: Agree to the terms and conditions of the FedEx End User License Agreement.
Step 2: Provide Registration information, such as Contact Name, Address, E-mail Address, etc.
Step 3: A page will be displayed showing your FedEx account number, meter number, and subscribed services. You will want to print this page for future reference.

Our integration with FedEx automatically connects to their product servers to retrieve real-time shipping rates using the weight, zip code, and any applicable dimensions which are listed as part of the products in the shopping cart.
