PayPal integration question

Now I'm really confused. I thought I didn't need an SSL-certificate if PayPal handled the transactions, plus the https:// appears on PayPal checkout. Is this something my customers can see? Can I still use the Shopsite security icon?

You do not NEED to use SSL if you are using PayPal standard since you do not collect any payment information on your site. However, it would still be a good idea to use it just to give your customers a sense of security for your site. When the shopper goes to PayPal they should have a secure page to enter their payment information. That message will be displayed in a store no matter what payment method is being used just as a reminder that it is best to use SSL any time you are handling shopper information such as when viewing orders.

Same with PayPal express, the shopper enters info on the PayPal site so you never see any of their information except the address. The ShopSite security icon will not display the secure version if you do not have SSL enabled in ShopSite. The shopper does not see the "You should be using security " message, that is only displayed on the merchant screens.
And to your question about the "manual (off line )" payment processor, it should be the one checked and you should have no Credit Cards checked.
