Base URL Help Needed

I'm very frustrated and I know I've dealt with this issue on another site but can't remember how it was resolved. The client's site is hosted with Hostcentric and I have the base URL set to the domain name. However, Shopsite is continuing to use the account user name when it generates pages.

Example: http://3sisters.accountsupport.com/store/sticks.html
The above was generated by Shopsite.

It should be: http://meandmysistersonline.com/store/sticks.html

What am I missing here? I've contacted Hostcentric but they continue to misunderstand the problem.

Any and all help is most appreciated. It's got to be something simple that I'm missing!

This would generally be because your host set your ShopSite up with a license issued to:

http://3sisters.accountsupport.com/store

Which is why all of your ShopSite-generated page links are based on this. To change that to:

http://meandmysistersonline.com/store

Your host would need to get a replacement license for your store with this URL in it instead, and replace the original license with the new one. This process is described in the following ShopSite Knowledgebase article:

The replacement of the auth file step is something that will have to be done by your host.

Thank you. This is what I've been trying to tell Hostcentric. They don't seem to get it so I thought maybe there was somethine else I was missing.

I'll try sending them to this page if I could ever get them to actually read what I'm writing. They keep insisting it's a domain pointing issue <sigh>.

I am having the same problem with my host. I have had many other issues with ShopSite support with Fat Cow services. It has been a terrible experience with their lack of knowledge of this product and "oh well" attitude.

Just sent in another ticket to them and provided the knowledge base article. Hope they can read (and understand) what to do to fix it!

I had months of frustratration until I changed to a knowledgeable host - Lexiconn. Must be others.
More expensive but worth it. I have no connection to them. See some of my older pre-Lexi screaming comments.

I have just about had it with the poor Fatcow support of this product. I am looking at Lexiconn. Anybody else have a provider that knows how to support Shopsite. Would like to have some choices to look into.
