Auto change Google Availability "in stock" to"out of stock"?

I'm using Shopsite Pro 10.2.

For the data feed to Google Merchant Center, I am using Product Extra Field 5 for "availability".
I'm manually changing the availability field to "in stock" or "out of stock". It's very time consuming to keep it up to date.

Is there a way for Shopsite to detect when the inventory is zero in the "quantity on hand" box, and change the availability from "in stock" to "out of stock"?

If not, can it be programmed. IF QUANTITY ON HAND = 0, THEN PRODUCT FIELD (availability) = "OUT OF STOCK".

Suggestions or solutions would be very much appreciated.

What version of ShopSite are you using? Version 11 sp1 added the Availability field to the Google Product Search/Merchant Center Feed section of the Edit Product Info screen. There was also a configuration setting added to the Merchandising > Google Services > Product Search > Configure screen which allows you to select whether to send the value of the Availability field or to use the ShopSite inventory tracking value to determine if the item is in stock or out of stock.

If you are not using ShopSite 11 sp1 you should consider upgrading to that version to make use of this new functionality.

Lexiconn recently told me $300 plus to upgrade to 11. I bought shop site in April this year for over$1000. Seems too high a price.
