ordernum file problem

Postby peteuga » Wed Nov 30, 2011 8:11 am

HI,
I know the ordernum file controls the order number that is assigned to each order. I was on order 9519 but had to switch servers and start over. So I downloaded the file ordernum from the new server and used notepad to change it from 1234 to 9519. When I tried to upload the updated file via FTP it would note allow me to send it. So I changed the file to ordernum.txt uploaded it then deleted the old file ordernum file and then renamed ordernum.txt to ordernum. Now all of my orders are assigned long random numbers.

I did notice the original file was 1234 then a box. The new file is shows at 9519 but the box is missing.

Can anyone help me with this or send me a working version of the ordernum file that starts at 9519?

The ordernum file is in Unix file format and notepad writes files in Windows format.
Make sure you transfer the file in ascii mode so that the line endings will be proper.
