Sales tax problem

Hi,
I am using the shopsite pro 8 for my online store. I m facing some problems with my orders.
I have made the tax system with the option to use zip code to determine sales tax.
But suppose someone give zip code of Alabama state in shopping cart screen
and in the next screen he has given his country name as australia (outside Us) even then
he has tax added for Alabama state in his order.
Isn't there any way where if he outside Us he has been deducted the tax if he selects country in submit order screen.
As the order price is calculated along with tax in checkout screen.
and country option is in submit order screen(billing)
your immediate help will be greatly appreciated.

You need o upgrade to a more recent version of ShopSite. Version 8 is at least 4 years old and many improvements have been made since then. The current version (11sp1r1) looks at both the country and the zipcode to determine tax. I believe that functionality was added in version 10 when VAT taxing method was added.
