Product SKU to Cart Cross-Selling

Postby miriamcb » Mon Oct 24, 2011 8:43 am

Hi,

I'm wondering if it's possible to ensure that the product SKU shows up on the Cart Product Cross-Sell table. If so, please let me know how to modify my template so that it does!

Also, is it possible to format the Product names? I have a long product name and would like to break the product name into lines. I've tried adding the <br> into the product name box to see if it would format from there, but it does not. Are there any solutions for this?

Thanks!

For the product cross sell, you would modify the shopping cart template. Go to Merchandising > Custom Templates > Shopping Cart > Copy ShopSite Template, and make a copy of the shopping cart template you are using (you can find out the template you are using under Commerce Setup > Order System > Layout Info). Once you have copied the template, you can modify it by scrolling to the bottom, finding the DEFINE CART_CROSS_SELL section, and adding [-- PRODUCT.SKU --] in that section where you would like the sku to appear.

For the product name, what screen are you trying to format the product name on? On the product category pages, on the more information pages, on the shopping cart screen? In many cases, doing what you mentioned, adding the BR tag will cause a line break in the product name. There are some cases where the HTML is removed from the product name. Could you provide a link to the page you are trying to cause a line break in?

Thanks! I think the SKU inclusion will take care of it and I won't need to worry about re-formatting the product title.
