Disabling purchases

We have ShopSite® Manager 10 sp2 r2.5 and would like to prevent orders from being received and processed for a short time to allow us a chance to update products. Is there a simple way to do this?

There isn't really an option for this in ShopSite. You could turn off all payment options (Commerce Setup > Payment). I think that turning off all payment options will work. Another option would be to modify the template to not display the checkout button (delete the [-- BUTTON Checkout --] in the shopping cart template).
