Can I change the system assigned itemnum?

Does anyone know how to use a different number for the itemnum other than the one assigned by shopsite?
I would like to include a different number for this field (other than the system-assigned incremental number) while uploading a product listing spreadsheet.

Can I change or modify the system-assigned itemnum value?

No, you can't change the itemnum value for a product, they are automatically assigned sequentially as new products are added.
