"Buy Gift Certificate" button help

When the user clicks on the "Buy Gift Certificate" button, the cart is set now so it doesn't take them into the shopping cart.

I need for them to land in the shopping cart instead of going to the previous page. Anyone know where I change this?

I added a gift certificate to the cart and "Buy Gift Certificate" button it took me to the cart. from the cart I clicked the continue shopping and it took me back to your main page.

So what is the issue?

Strange, because that's not how it was behaving for me. In Firefox on Mac when I added a gift card, instead of going to the shopping cart after submitting, it went to the previous page. Do you know what might cause this inconsistent behavior?

I used FireFox on Ubuntu Linux 10.04. Do you have some firewall that is blocking the referrer on posts to the cgi?

Have your tried it on a Windows machine? I'll try it from the office tomorrow from Windows and see if it happens on that OS.

I've tested on PC and it worked properly. I just tested again on Mac and it worked ok this time for some reason. I know I'm not smoking crack...it just seems to behave inconsistently and I don't know why. I wish I could consistently reproduce the problem. I'll let you know if it happens again, and anyone else who's had this problem who has any insight...your ideas are definitely welcome...it might keep me from starting a crack habit![/i]

I'm posting this again since this hasn't been answered and the site still has the problem of not always going to the shopping cart when someone adds a gift certificate. It appears to also happen sometimes when other products are added. Usually when it happens, the user is kicked back to the home page instead of going into the shopping cart. My client is very frustrated and I don't know why it's happening. Please help!!!!!!!
