Order Number Question

Is there any control over the Order Number that is generated? My test orders started at #1235 and are incremented sequentially for each new order. My old storefront software generated order#s like aeqn3216, so customers wouldn't have the impression that there have been, for instance, 1,235 orders to date at my store.

If you have access to your ShopSite's data directory you can bump the order numbers so that subsequent orders will start in a higher range. Details are at:

If you don't have access to your ShopSite's data directory, then you would need to ask your host to assist you in doing this.
