Shopsite store

Sorry to be the dumb question of the day but . . .

Every time I add a product in my product list I have the PUBLISH tab pop up and I press it and it seems to publish the new product someplace. I cannot for the life of me find where this "store" is? So, where is it publishing all these products I am adding? How do I find the url of this?

Have you assigned the products to a page? If you didn't assign them to a page then they won't appear anywhere. If you did assign them to a page, what is the filename for the page you assigned them to? The url to that page would be something like http://your.domain.com/store/<filename> where <filename> would be something like mypage.html. The actual url for your store's main page can be found by clicking on the My Store icon in the navbar of your stores merchant interface (backoffice).

I haven't made any pages so that explains why it doesn't show up anywhere.

In case there is another way to do this, here is what I am trying to accomplish:

I send out weekly email blasts and use the "order anywhere" htlm code in the email asking folks to place orders.

Occasionally someone will ask me to resend the email as they "lost it". The emails are hard to send to just one person, so I want to provide them with the link to purchase that week's special. I tried using the html code in an email but they tell me it doesn't work. My solution was to try and publish a temporary place to put the weekly special and why I was looking to see where the heck these products were going after I pressed the publish button. Any other suggestion to offer a quick order button are welcome please.

Create a page, Weekly Special. You will need to give it that Page name and then you can enter text you want in the text1, text2 or text 3 fields. In the "File name" field, near the bottom the screen, give it a name like weekly.html.

Now when you create the order anywhere links for the email just copy the html for the links and place them in one of the text field. (Depending on which template you are using it might be placed in different so you will want to check where it goes.) Templates are selected on Preferences > Themes.

The link for the page can probably be obtained by clicking on the My Store button on the navbar and then replacing the index.html at the end of the URL to weekly.html. You can then just send that url to people who "lost" their email. They will be able to click on the link on the page and get the same thing as what they would have form the email.

Note if you are creating your other store pages using some other html creation tool you could just create a page with that tool and add the html for the order anywhere links to that page.
