Pagination stopped working, ss-2 thru ss-x gives URL not fou

Postby MServitus » Tue Apr 06, 2010 6:55 pm

For years and years shopsite (9.0.4) has worked great. I have several product pages that use pagination to handle way-too-long product lists.
Then last month all pagination pages after page ss-1 stopped working. I was able to open the page layout and save and Upload it. The problem cleared. It worked on all effected pages. Then a couple of weeks later they failed again. And were cleared by uploading the page again.
Is there are real fix for this..??

Thanks..

What have you been doing on you store? If it was working it should still be working unless someone changed something.

Are new pages or products being added to the store? Are all assigned products showing up on the first page ss-1? Have you changed the number of products assigned to the page? Have permissions on the directory changed? Has the setting for maximum number of pagingation pages changed? Has the number of products that are allowed on a page been changed? Are you doing a full publish or just clicking on the Publish tab when it pops up? Has someone been restoring files from a backup? Is this only happening on a single page or are all pages affected?

There are so many variables that without more details it is not possible to point to one thing. We know that if you're are using ShopSite 9.0.4 nothing on the ShopSite side has changed since that version hasn't been modified for 3 or so years.

Note that in that version pagination pages were not removed if you changed the number of products on a page so fewer pages would be generated. So you might have orphan pages in your html directory that are no longer being generated by ShopSite. You would have to manually delete such pages from the server.
