Allow Only (1) Shipping Option

I ship UPS on all orders. Accept when I ship to a military APO/FPO address, I use USPS. The USPS is less expensive, so when the option is presented a client will typically select it. Is there a way to limit the shipping option to only UPS unless an APO/FPO address is specified. Similarly, when an APO/FPO address is selected, is it possible to limit the shipping option to only USPS?

For granular control of shipping options like this, Lexiconn's shipping module is a good option:

If you don't mind some coding, you could probably writer some Javascript for the cart's Check-it function to compare the state value and the shipping method and alert if they are not correct.

Also, are you using real-time UPS rates? I'm surprised UPS will return a rate for those zip codes (since they can't ship there).

I just tested it again and you are correct...UPS isn't passing a real-time rate - so all is good.
