printing FedEx shipping labels

Hi. Excuse my ignorance of this subject, I've not worked with this aspect of ShopSite before. I have a client that needs more/better options to print FedEx shipping labels than apparently what is available from within ShopSite.

I've found software programs such as ShipWorks (interapptive.com) and ReadyShipper (trueship.com) that appear to have these additional features for a monthly fee. I assume that you simply download and import your ShopSite order data into these programs on your own computer and then can manage/print the orders and labels with more options than ShopSite offers.

For anyone familiar with these services, are either of the two above good choices, or can you recommend another good one or two?

I am also lookingfor something similar... for a "single pane" view into shipping - we used shiprush for FedEx, it did the job however we need to employ multiple shipping options.

Currently we do domestic and international shipping through FedeEx and USPS, but have only found a few products that can handle this.

And whats up with "subscriptions"? to this stuff? this is new to me outside of the hosting environment.
