Uploading Multiple Products

Post by tmlogo »

I've been using shopsite for years. currently using Shopsite 10. I have always manually added products because of fear of using an Excel spreadsheet upload.

I need to add a large quantity of products at one time now, and want to know the most effective way of doing so. Can I just upload "new" products, ignoring the current ones?

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Yes, you can specify that ShopSite add new products when doing the upload. You only have to upload the fields you want populated, and you can upload just new products.

With the latest version of ShopSite you can upload an Excel file directly. Or, you can upload a tab delimited text file that you save out of Excel, or copy and paste the fields from Excel into Notepad and save that file for upload.

Thank you for your response. I've downloaded our current product list, and I was wondering if there is an easy way to do quantity pricing? Right now it looks like this:

checked|n|5|n||n|#9999CC|#FFFFFF|#FFFF00|n|1|82.00||n|10|79.00||n|20|76.63||n|40|74.33||n|75|72.10||n|

Also, just to reconfirm. I only need to upload the "updates" or new products. (No need to do anything with the current products).

Thanks again
