I would like to use the Google website optimizer to test designs on various pages. The way it works is you have to designate a test page, where you will vary some design or text element, and a goal page, which is where you want the visitor to go.

Adding the code to the test page is easy, but if I want the goal page to be the shopping cart page, or the thank-you page, how do I put the code in there? (It should go right before the </body> tag.)

I know that I can edit my template and add it there, but I'd rather not mess with the template every time I want to do an experiment.

Is there another way to put code on those pages from inside the shopsite admin? (I'm using Shopsite 10 pro.)

Have you tried the "Text at the bottom of <screen name> screen " fields under Commerce Setup > Order System > Shopping cart, Checkout, Confirmation, Thank You

Also, getting the code in the proper place on the individual pages was a little trickier than I thought. I did have to modify the template, but by using the "extra fields" function I can add the code only to the pages I want.

E.g., I set field1 to the optimizer control script and then added this right after <body> in the template.

[-- IF PAGE.Field1 --][-- PAGE.Field1 --] [-- END_IF --]

and I set field2 to the optimizer tracking script and added it just before </body>
