Question regarding links on Search result pages...

Postby tdsrob » Mon Jan 18, 2010 8:36 am

How would I go about having my search results page display links only on the bottom of the page right above the search bar. Right now my page displays links before each product on the page and at the bottom. It looks very repetitive. I want to go for the same look Google uses where they have related links at the bottom of search results, only I want my links to go to the related pages of the search term...I am using custom templates and can't seem to figure out how to do this...

http://www.url.com/glucose-test-strips/ you can visit this page and use the search bar in the top left corner to see what I mean. Please replace "url" in the address with total dia_betes supply, you also need to take out the underscore and make those three words all one word, for some reason this forum will not let me post my URL their "sensor" is rejecting the middle word with the underscore in it :(

Thanks!

I searched for lancets and see
the product graphic,
the moreinfo url which links to the moreinformation page
price, (which happens to be 0.00 for all items?)
the text Item # but no associated number
an add to cart button
a horizontal line
a link to the page the product is on.

What part do you want gone?

You could do a couple of things.
1. For the link template that is used when displaying the link just set the template to do nothing. Then the link won't appear on the page.

2. Change the product Search Destination to MoreInfo and then remove the Moreinfo link from the Search Product template. The moreinfo url will then be used as the url below the horizontal line.
