recommendation for someone who can help with html coding

I can do only the bare minimum with html coding. We have a custom template. I would like to incorporate multiple photos for each product with thumbnails so you can switch between the photos. Another store generously sent me the code they use to do this, but I can't make it work. Does anyone have someone they can recommend?
