Associate button questions

I upgraded to Pro from manager for a number of reasons.

One of them it to make an affiliate for this person that has been pushing me to do a program like that.

If I am using the orderanywhere buttons all thru my site as my main method of operation, will the affiliate system still work using the main web url (http://www.abetterbouncecard.com) as the entry point from a Shopsite associate generated url? That url is what I put in the window when I generated the code for the associate person to use

Will the associate url for the other guy only work within a Shopsite generated page for the commission to be recorded? Sorry, I have no way to test and it isn't too clear in the tutorial and people have a tendency to get ticked off when it is their money involved. So i thought it would be safer to ask.

For the Associate feature to work you do NOT have to use a ShopSite-generated page as the landing page. It should work just fine if you specify the landing pages as your own pages.
