I am trying to display a product availability message when ProductInventoryActual is 0. I am using product custom templates that I can have this message displayed in the product detail page. For example, if actual inventory is 0, it will say "ships in 3-4 days". Is there a way to have this message in the shopping cart also along with the product name, sku, etc. I tried ordering options but I couldn't get it to display only when iventory is 0. It was always displaying.
This would help our customer know the availability of their products in their shopping cart and would help cut down customer calls.

Note that ShopSite generated pages are static html so you would need to publish in order to be able to do anything like what you want.

That being said you might look at using the finopt which is the product text field that can display on the shopping cart. There is an example in the help of using this field for multiple input fields but you could probably hard code it with you own message instead of having input boxes.
