Error on checkout

Postby airbrushmakeupshop » Wed Aug 26, 2009 9:18 pm

It looks fine from my computer, but when my friend went to test the check out page on her computer, it threw up an error that "not all content (or info) is secure".

I thought our shopping cart images and content on it would be secure, but the hosting company is telling me I need to fix it.

Um yeah..okay...HOW?!

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Arlina

Your buttons at the bottom of the checkout page and your background image are not set to be called securely. You should check your SSL settings in the backoffice under:
Preferences -> Hosting Service

and your host may need to adjust your SSL image settings manually if they are not set to use the shared SSL certificate.

In the 4 secure URL settings in your Preferences -> Hosting Service menu try using the domain secure500.hostgator.com instead of the domain gator500.hostgator.com in the secure URLs.

Either domain will sorta work because your host has a wildcard SSL certificate for *.hostgator.com, but only the secure500 host is actually configured properly as far as the environment variables it provides to allow the checkout cgi to recognize that it is being accessed securely.
