I was talking with tech support at hostcentric last week and she went through all my directories and told me if they changed me from a windows platform to unix or whatever the other is that some of my media files wouldn't work because they didn't have extensions but other than that my website would only be down for a couple of hours and would be fine by morning and I would have access to htaccess. Well 4 days later and my website is still down and they have marked it resolved twice. They don't seem to have a clue.....Is it really this difficult? Will I have to make a new website? Shouldn't they have a backup? I used a backup from my main website to make my second website but have since deleted most of that so it won't help much. The main website was hosted on windows and the second site wasn't. When I do a backup, does it put the file anyplace on my computer?
