"Forgot Password" request not sending email

Postby drose » Thu Jul 09, 2009 4:45 pm

I have requested an email via the "forgot password" link several times and I do not receive an email response. I even set up a new account and tested it again with zero email response. I checked with my postini spam filter and it is not there either. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Do you get email receipts for an order?

You can try a test email by going to the main screen of your back office and replacing the start.cgi in the url with diagnose.cgi.

Near the bottom of the screen that displays is an email test function. See if that gets through. If it doesn't then an error will display and you can ask your host to look into what is causing the error.

I tested the email your way and it worked.

The problem is that it is not an order I am placing but a "Forgot email" function. The email worked for the same address with your test, I added it as a cc. But when I test the "forgot password" function no email comes to me.

Any other tests? Should I contact Lexiconn (host) or Shopsite?

Thanks,

Black holes, ufos, who knows! Support said they tested it and it worked fine, then I re-tested and it worked. Very odd, because I tested it twice yesterday, with my account and by opening a new account. It did not function.

Thanks again, best to you.
