Testing the checkout process

Is there a standard, behind the scenes way to test the checkout process?

I think I have it all set up, but who knows.

I'd like to test w/o actually putting a charge on my card.

You could enable the COD payment method which doesn't require a credit card number.

If you are using a payment gateway you might be able to put it in test mode and then used the Visa test number 4111 1111 1111 1111 or another value provided by your gateway.
