Coupon Code Field in Shopping Cart Screen

I have a shopping cart screen with Google Checkout button in it. This shopping cart screen has a Coupon Code Field. However, in this checkout screen, when I entered a correct coupon code, an error message will prompt and says: "Free Shipping Coupon cannot be entered on this screen or on the Google Checkout Screen. Proceed with regular checkout to use your Free Shipping Coupon." It is confusing for Buyers that this field exist in the shopping cart screen but it doesnt work. It will only work when I do the regular checkout. But my main concern is, will I be able to remove this field in this page while having it during the normal checkout?

And also, can I use the same coupon code for Google Checkout?

Note:

The Google Checkout payment method is incompatible with some ShopSite features, including one time coupons, free shipping coupons, Gift Certificates, Rewards over time, Customer Registration, and Surcharges.

There is currently no way to not have the coupon field on the Google Pre-checkout screen and not have it on the normal ShopSite checkout screen. Free Shipping coupons cannot be used with google checkout because of the way that they determine shipping values.

I have run into the same problem. Since currently I'm the only one that will enter the FREESHIP coupon, I don't have a problem there. As far as if the same coupon code can be used in both, the answer is "YES".
