How to proceed beyond Copyright Notice using HTML Editor

Question 20090328_0900:

How to proceed beyond the Copyright Notice when using the HTML Editor?

Background:
We have activated the HTML Editor via > Utitlities > HTML Editor and set HTML Editor feature = On

The [Editor] link then appears as expected for many of the pages and products fields that are eligible for HTML editing.

However, when clicking upon the [Editor] Link or the Try it out: link on the HTML Editor config page, we get the following:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<!--
* FCKeditor - The text editor for Internet - http://www.fckeditor.net
* Copyright (C) 2003-2007 Frederico Caldeira Knabben
*
* == BEGIN LICENSE ==
*
* Licensed under the terms of any of the following licenses at your
* choice:

....and so forth and so on...

Workarounds attempted:

Have tried this with the Editor "Basic" ToolBar and also made tried with a custom toolbar that we temporarily created for testing purposes. Same result either way.

Do you have JavaScript enabled in your web browser? The HTML Editor is JavaScript-based, so you must have JavaScript (and probably cookies) enabled to use it.

Yes Javascript and Cookiers are enabled.

The behavior with the Editor is the same when accessed from a variety of other systems as well.

Thanks for your help!

This issue has been resolved by the good folks at Radiant Communications (www.radiant.net) and Tech Support at ShopSite. A bit beyond our ability to understand the details but in general... the given that our store was upgraded periodically over many years from V4 to V5...etc... to V10 set the stage for the problem. Apparently the way that some back office images are served up was changed before V10 and although not important for say V9, it surfaced as a problem with the HTML Editor when we went to V10. Radiant fixed the problem and presto, the HTML Editor is in the game.
