Customer Registration Problem

On ShopSite 8.3, I had a customer email me with a registration problem. He made some orders from my site previously, but did not register. Now he's trying to register with the same email address he previously used when making his merchandise orders. When he tries to register he's getting a message that says his email address is already in use. He's writing to me to solve his problem and I'm simply scratching my head with a rather blank look on my face.

If their email address is already in use then at some point they did register but perhaps weren't signed in when they placed an order.

You should be able to reset their password in the back office or they could click on the forgot password link and reset it themselves.

Thanks, Jim. Once I went in and found the name -- I never even realized I could do that -- I discovered that the email was indeed registered. Changed the password as you suggested and am pretty sure the problem is solved.
