Add Cart Currency Primary and alternate

Postby hovanfue » Fri Oct 31, 2008 2:11 am

Hello this is hovanfue from Japan.

Please give me some advice.

Whem my customer click the add cart button and go to my cart, he/she is surprised to see the currency.

My shop is "yen" shop , so the Currency (primary) is yen and Currency (alternate) is USD.

His/Her cart shows the price by USD!!!
That is big problem!!!

My product page (For example here ,http://www.hovanfue.com/Hello_Kitty.html)

For one product shows like this

Title is " Hello Kitty 503M PIXEX DIGITAL CAMERA JAPANESE LIMITED"
The price is two way:¥14,980 $158.16

The customer click the Add Cart Button and go to his/her cart

He/She sees "14,980USD"!!!!

I don't know why???

When I click add cart button, I see "14,980yen" so there is no problem.

What should I do ???

Do you understand what I mean.
I hope so .
Sorry for my poor English.
Thank you very much

I see the yen price in the shopping cart. So you have it configured correctly with the Yen as your primary currency and the USD as your secondary currency. Your shoppers should only see Yen in the shopping cart.

Maybe the customer who reported this problem added the item to the cart before you switched to have the Yen as your primary currency. Ask them to empty their shopping cart and try adding the products again. Once an item is in the shopping cart the price will remain what it was when the item was first added to the cart. So if it was added as $s then it will remain as $ and would not be converted to another currency.

Hello this is hovanfue from Japan again.

Thank you very much for you kind reply.
I will try to do so.

But I almost alwasys set the Yen as primary currency.

So even after my setting the Yen as primary currency, this problem may happen.

Thank you very much
