Help needed with products and subproducts

Our site will be used by customers to view photographs from their photo sessions. Our photographer will upload proofs for the customer. We're attempting to set up the page so customers can view their photographs and order the prints they'd like. So a 4x6 print or 5x7 print would be the products, but these fields need to go with the individual photo thumbnails. I'm having trouble figuring out how to layout the customers' pages and placing the products. The 4x6 print is the product, but really it's the 4x6 print of picture A and/or the 4x6 print of picture B.

Snapfish (www.snapfish.com) is a very sophisticated site, but the idea behind how to place photo orders is just what we're attempting to do. Has anyone tried something similar? Any help is appreciated.

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you are trying to do but here is a suggestion.

Make each picture a separate product. To specify the size of print they want you could use the order option feature to create a dropdown for each picture showing the sizes that they can order it in. With a Pro or Manager level store you can have Order Option pricing so you could set the 4x6 for one price and the 5x7 or 8x10 for different prices. The shopper would simply select what size they want and click the add to cart button to choose a particular size.
