I would like a way to import our existing customers into the database.

We give our members a discount in our store. Setting up new members individually isn't a big deal. Setting up 500+ is.

At YourHost.com we could help you develop a program to import your existing customers into Shopsite, though you'll need to running a least Shopsite 8.x and would have to have PHP 5 with PDO SQLite. I was recently contacting YourHost.com to see if they could do something with the lack of the Customer API issue in ShopSite.

The guy I was trying to reach was the Man who left the above message promoting his services, Scott Norman.

I left a message on his voicemail inquiring about his services about 4 days ago. I recently received a message from the CEO of YourHost.com relaying the sad news that Scott had passed away last night.

Although I never talked to Scott, I'm sure he would have helped us out and I wish His Spirit and His Family, all the best.

ShopSite v10 (released today for Linux hosting platforms) supports Customer Registration uploads so that you can import customer data from your old application to ShopSite so that they don't have to re-register. The customer registration downloads now also include more information (such as address info) and the download is also available in an XML format.
