Where to Find Froogle File

Postby rhurd » Fri Jul 11, 2008 5:53 am

I am still having a problem sending my Products to Google. I am Using 8.3 manager shopsite. I make a data feed with an .xml extension and send it and it say it sent it with no errors. It say's under options that the file name that if FTP's is Froogle-Bulk.xml. I set it up and sent it under options. I have looked for file froogle-bulk.xml and can not find it. Buy the way google keeps sending me a email saying it recieved a file it could not read. We are trying to find the file to FTP it manual.

Google made changes to the format of the file that they would accept earlier this year. Sending the file from an 8.3 store manually would have no benefit over the way ShopSite sends it since Google would still not recognize the format that is in the file. The file is put in the store's data directory in the log subdirectory. Often merchants have no access to this location directly.

ShopSite has made changes to match the new requirements but they are only available in the current version (9.0.3) so you should have your store upgraded to that version.

Each ISP is responsible for there own servers and ShopSite can't force them to offer the latest version.

I would request an upgrade from them and explain the reason they need to start offering ShopSite 9. Get a case number and send that to me in a private email. I'll give it to the account rep at ShopSite who has the IPower account and he might be able to apply some pressue on the issue from the ShopSite end.
